Descorcha el Mercado 2026: Ligeros vs Potentes wine event at Mercado del Puerto
Descorcha el Mercado returns to the Mercado del Puerto in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria for its 14th edition, from Thursday 5 to Saturday 7 November, 20:00 to midnight. This year's theme pits light wines against powerful ones: 35 wines to taste, five vermouths, one on each table, a DJ and live music, La Gaveta playing live, and food from the market stalls to go with every glass.
Descorcha el Mercado is the wine event of the Mercado del Puerto, the market on Calle Albareda, a short walk from Las Canteras beach. Its 14th edition is built around a duel, Ligeros vs Potentes: fresh, fine and elegant wines against intense, deep wines with character. The motto says it plainly, choosing is overrated, so you can taste both sides. It is organised by the Mercado del Puerto itself, co-organised by La Garnacha de Sara and funded by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria.
