Finaos chestnut roast at the Centro Locero La Atalaya (Santa Brígida)
Santa Brígida’s Finaos 2026 programme opens on Wednesday 28 October at 17:00 at the Centro Locero La Atalaya with a chestnut roast. Members of the pottery workshop roast the chestnuts in handmade roasters crafted under the direction of master potter Domingo Díaz Barrios. It is the first date of a municipal programme that runs until Saturday 31 October.
Santa Brígida town council, through its Festivities department, celebrates Finaos 2026 from 28 to 31 October with a programme that honours the memory of loved ones by highlighting local customs, seasonal food, oral tradition and folklore. The chestnut roast at the Centro Locero La Atalaya opens the programme: members of the pottery workshop roast the chestnuts in handmade roasters crafted under the direction of master potter Domingo Díaz Barrios.
The chestnut roast takes place on Wednesday 28 October 2026 at 17:00 at the Centro Locero La Atalaya in Santa Brígida. The programme continues on Thursday 29 with Finaos tales at the Biblioteca Municipal (18:00) and the 19th Festival Folk Canarias at the Centro Cultural (20:00), on Friday 30 with the children’s parade «¿Hay Santitos?» (17:00) and the play «La Casa de Don Alonso» in the Plaza de la Iglesia (20:30), and closes on Saturday 31 at 19:00 with the Noche de Finaos in the Parque Municipal.
