21st Alumni ULL photographic exhibition: «The University of La Laguna 1976-1980»verified
A photographic exhibition on the University of La Laguna between 1976 and 1980, organised by Alumni ULL at the Casa de los Capitanes. It runs from 8 to 20 September. These are the years of the Spanish transition seen from inside a university that was then the island's political and cultural engine.
From 8 to 20 September 2026 the 21st Alumni ULL Photographic Exhibition, titled «The University of La Laguna 1976-1980, 20th century», can be visited at the Casa de los Capitanes, organised by Alumni ULL within the Fiestas del Cristo.
The years it covers are not accidental: they are the ones immediately after 1975, when the University of La Laguna was one of the most active political and cultural focal points in the Canaries. The Casa de los Capitanes is right in the historic centre, a few metres from the town hall. The municipal programme gives no opening hours, only the dates, so it is worth confirming before you go.
