19th Romería Barquera of El Médanoverified
On Sunday 20 September 2026 at 10:00 the 19th Romería Barquera of El Médano begins with the parade of decorated carts to the church square, accompanied by the Fanfarria del Puerto de la Cruz. At 11:00 there is mass and a charity offering, after which the romería moves through the streets in traditional dress with the Bailarines de El Hierro.

At 11:00 there is mass and a charity offering, after which the romería moves through the streets in traditional dress with the Bailarines de El Hierro. At 12:30 the procession takes to the bay of El Médano, with the image of Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes de Roja carried on board for the sea procession. A large open-air dance with Dorada Band, Sonora Olimpia, Malibu Band, Tropín and Maquinaria Band follows in the evening, although the programme does not give a start time.
