WOMEX 26: free concerts on the Plaza Stage, Friday 23 October (Kasiva Mutua, Nana Benz Du Togo and Soba)verified
WOMEX, the world music expo, opens a free stage by the sea to the public in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. On Friday 23 October the Plaza Stage, on the Plaza del Espigón, features Kasiva Mutua, Nana Benz Du Togo and Soba: 21:45, Kasiva Mutua (Kenya); 23:15, Nana Benz Du Togo (Togo); 00:45, Soba (Burkina Faso, Congo and France). Free entry, subject to capacity.
WOMEX (Worldwide Music Expo), the major international meeting of world music, takes place in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria from 21 to 25 October 2026. Besides the professional fair, the festival has a public concert programme spread over three venues on the seafront promenade near the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus, all within walking distance.
The Plaza Stage is the free stage: it is outdoors, by the sea, on the Plaza del Espigón (Ctra. del Rincón), with three concerts every night from Thursday to Saturday. On Friday 23 October the line-up is: 21:45, Kasiva Mutua (Kenya); 23:15, Nana Benz Du Togo (Togo); 00:45, Soba (Burkina Faso, Congo and France). Each set lasts about 45 minutes, so the night ends around 01:30. Entry to the Plaza Stage is free, subject to capacity. For the other stages, at the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus and the Sala Gabriel Rodó, paid tickets are sold in the festival's official shop: a full pass for 85 euros, or a day pass for 25 euros on Thursday and 30 euros on Friday and Saturday, plus booking fees.
