Menú de Gaza is a book born of joint work by the journalist Mikel Ayestaran, the Hammad family and the magazine 5W. It claims everyday life and dignity as forms of resistance against the use of hunger as a weapon of war in Gaza.
Through the recipes of a family sharing their daily routine during the hardest months of the conflict, the project began on Instagram and was recognised with the Premio Ortega y Gasset de Periodismo 2025. It now becomes a book thanks to the support of more than 2,500 people through a crowdfunding campaign. Kayed Hammad and Anna Surinyach take part in the presentation, before an adult audience and with free entry until the room is full.
