Virgen del Carmen (Arguineguin, Mogan)

Arguineguin, in the municipality of Mogan, honours the Virgen del Carmen with a land pilgrimage and, above all, its celebrated maritime procession. In 2026 the procession takes place on Sunday 19 July: at 09:00 the image is taken to the quay, where the Eucharist is held, and then it embarks to travel along the coast to Playa de Mogan, escorted by dozens of decorated boats. The visit is returned on Sunday 2 August, when Playa de Mogan holds its maritime procession to Arguineguin. It is one of the most beloved seafaring events in the south of the island.
