Verbena with Una Más and night parade of the papagüevosverified
On Sunday 11 October, the eve of the Pilar feast, the Plaza del Pilar in Guanarteme has a verbena, an open-air dance, with the group Una Más at 22:00, and at 23:30 the night parade of the papagüevos, the big-headed festival figures, with the Banda Atlántico Sound. Fireworks at Las Canteras follow at midnight. It is all part of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria neighbourhood festival, from 30 September to 12 October.
