V Memorial Braulio Pérez Santana: folk festival in Sardinaverified
The V Memorial Braulio Pérez Santana takes place on Friday 25 September at 20:30 on the sports court of Sardina del Norte, within the fiestas in honour of San Pedro González Telmo and Nuestra Señora del Carmen. The folk festival brings together three ensembles: Coros y Danzas de Ingenio and the Agrupación Folklórica Farallón de Tábata, from the Canary Islands, and the group «Los Chachipés», from Madrid.
The Sardina del Norte district of Gáldar holds its fiestas in honour of San Pedro González Telmo and Nuestra Señora del Carmen from 1 September to 3 October, with the Asociación de Vecinos San Pedro González Telmo, the Comisión de Fiestas and the Ayuntamiento de Gáldar behind the programme. On the evening of Friday 25 September the sports court hosts the V Memorial Braulio Pérez Santana, the folk festival of the programme.
The festival starts at 20:30 and reaches its fifth edition. On stage come the Asociación Cultural Coros y Danzas de Ingenio, from the Canary Islands, the Asociación Cultural Grupo de Música y Danza «Los Chachipés», from Madrid, and the Agrupación Folklórica Farallón de Tábata, also Canarian. The official programme sets neither the order of the performances nor the closing time of the evening, held in the open air on the district court.
