Trio Corrente, one of the key ensembles in contemporary Brazilian instrumental jazz, performs at the Teatro Leal in La Laguna.
Trio Corrente was founded in Brazil in 2001 and is made up of Edu Ribeiro on drums, Fábio Torres on piano and Paulo Paulelli on double bass. Since then they have built a sound of their own that joins the elegance of choro and Brazilian popular music with the creative freedom of jazz.
Their playing alternates virtuosity and intimacy with uncommon balance, and the group has a solid international track record. The concert takes place at the Teatro Leal in San Cristóbal de La Laguna.
