Dominoes and envite tournament at Restaurante Plazaverified
The table tournament is the first thing to start in the Fiesta Chica, four afternoons before the main weekend. It is played at Restaurante Plaza from 17:00, dominoes only on the 2nd and 3rd, then envite and dominoes on the 4th and 5th. This is the part of the festivity that happens seated and without noise, and the one that best shows how the village organises itself before the big events begin.
The Fiesta Chica of Puerto de Santiago is held in honour of the Virgen Chica, known locally as Queen of the seas and of the people of Santiago. It is the smaller festivity in the seafaring calendar of Santiago del Teide, organised by the Comisión de Fiestas together with the village, and it is concentrated in the first weekend of September. Its axis is the public square and the fishing quay.
Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 September, 17:00: dominoes tournament. Friday 4 and Saturday 5, 17:00: envite and dominoes tournament. All sessions take place at Restaurante Plaza, on the square of Puerto de Santiago.
