Tacoronte en Flor: a route of nine floral sculptures in La Estación
On Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September 2026 the area around La Estación in Tacoronte hosts the first edition of «Tacoronte en Flor», part of the municipal Comercio VIVO project: a route of nine large ephemeral sculptures made from fresh flowers and plants, spread between the square and the Mercado Municipal. It is seen at street level and stays on display all weekend. Each work carries a sign with its author, title and inspiration.
On Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September 2026 the area around La Estación in Tacoronte hosts the first edition of «Tacoronte en Flor», part of the municipal Comercio VIVO project. There are nine large ephemeral sculptures, made from fresh flowers and plants and spread between the square and the Mercado Municipal. The works are built on Friday the 4th and remain on display all weekend.
The initiative is driven by the Commerce Department of Tacoronte Town Hall together with the Tourism Area, coordinated by the Asociación Floraguere, with florists and floral-art professionals from the Canaries and mainland Spain taking part. The themes draw on recognisable elements of Tacoronte: its traditions, its landscape, its heritage, its food and its wine culture. Important: the municipal programme does NOT state opening hours, because the route is seen at street level and is accessible throughout the weekend; the time shown here is a convention of ours so the event can be placed in the agenda, not a figure from the organiser.
