The Subida de los Cestos y Bollos of Santa Bárbara: an offering carried up to the neighbourhood in baskets, a tradition unique to Icod.
In the Santa Bárbara neighbourhood of Icod de los Vinos, the offering to the patron saint is carried up in baskets loaded with bread rolls and local produce. It is a tradition that is not repeated in quite this form anywhere else.
The climb is accompanied by parranda bands and ends in a neighbourhood celebration.
