Solemn Mass and procession of Nuestra Señora del Pilar on her feast dayverified
On Monday 12 October, the feast of Nuestra Señora del Pilar, the Pilar parish church in Guanarteme holds a solemn concelebrated Mass at 12:00. The procession of the Virgin follows straight after; the popular programme gives 13:00, with the Agrupación musical y Majorette La Salle de Agüimes. It is the main day of the neighbourhood festival in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, from 30 September to 12 October.
On Monday 12 October, the feast of Nuestra Señora del Pilar, the Parroquia de Nuestra Señora del Pilar in Guanarteme, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, celebrates a solemn concelebrated Mass at 12:00. The procession of the Virgen del Pilar follows. The parish programme gives no time for its departure and places it after the Mass; the popular programme announces it at 13:00, accompanied by the Agrupación musical y Majorette La Salle de Agüimes. It is the central day of the Fiestas de la Virgen del Pilar 2026, which run from 30 September to 12 October.
The procession route is Plaza del Pilar, Lepanto, Numancia, Párroco Francisco Rodríguez Rodríguez, Luchana, Lepanto and back to the Plaza del Pilar. On the same day there is also Mass at 10:00 and at 19:00 in the parish church, and the floral offering to the Virgin at the church door takes place on 11 and 12 October. On Tuesday 13 October at 19:00, a Mass is held for the deceased of the parish.
