Solemn Mass and procession of Santa Úrsula, the town's patron saint, with fireworksverified

On Wednesday 21 October, the feast day of Santa Úrsula and a local holiday, the Parroquia Matriz de Santa Úrsula holds a solemn concelebrated Mass at 20:00 in honour of the patron saint. Afterwards the procession of Santa Úrsula and the Virgen del Rosario sets out, followed by a fireworks display in front of the town hall. It is part of the Fiestas Patronales of Santa Úrsula, organised by the Ayuntamiento from 4 to 25 October.

On Wednesday 21 October, the feast day of Santa Úrsula and a local holiday, the Parroquia Matriz de Santa Úrsula holds a solemn concelebrated Mass at 20:00 in honour of Santa Úrsula Mártir, patron saint and honorary and perpetual mayor of the town. When the Mass ends, the solemn procession sets out, and after it there is a fireworks display in front of the Ayuntamiento (town hall).

The Mass is presided over, and the homily given, by the Rev. Juan Antonio Guedes Suárez, Vicar General of the Nivariense diocese, while the Coral de Santa Úrsula, conducted by Javier Quintero, provides the music. The procession of the patron saint and Our Lady of the Rosary (Virgen del Rosario) is accompanied by civil and religious authorities, brotherhoods and confraternities, and the festival queens and maids of honour. It is part of the Fiestas Patronales of Santa Úrsula, held from 4 to 25 October in honour of Santa Úrsula Mártir and Nuestra Señora del Rosario and organised by the Ayuntamiento de Santa Úrsula.
