Pilgrimage with folk groups, parrandas and a tasting of local products, from Bajamar to Plaza de Montserrat.
On Saturday 29 August at 18:30 the traditional pilgrimage sets off from Bajamar towards Plaza de Montserrat, with folk groups, parrandas and a tasting of local products. On arrival the pilgrims and folk groups make their offering to the Virgin of Montserrat.
The organisers ask everyone attending the pilgrimage and the baile de magos to come in traditional dress.
A note on the name: this Bajamar is the one in San Andrés y Sauces on La Palma, not the Bajamar of La Laguna on Tenerife.
The patron saint festival in honour of Nuestra Señora de Montserrat runs from 26 August to 15 September 2026 in San Andrés y Sauces.
