San Miguel Arcángel romería in Tuineje with offering and procession of the Fogalerasverified
The Fiestas Juradas of San Miguel Arcángel in Tuineje, which commemorate the battles of Cuchillete and Tamasite in 1740, hold their romería on 12 October. Farmers and pilgrims gather at Corral Blanco at 16:30, and at 18:00 the romería sets off towards Plaza San Miguel with floats, folk groups and parrandas, ending with an offering of local produce and the procession of the Fogaleras.
The Fiestas Juradas of San Miguel Arcángel take place in Tuineje from 25 September to 18 October 2026 to commemorate the battles of Cuchillete and Tamasite in 1740. On the day of the romería, farmers and pilgrims gather at Corral Blanco at 16:30. From there the procession sets off with floats, folk groups and parrandas towards Plaza San Miguel, where it ends with an offering of local produce to Señor San Miguel and the procession of the Fogaleras.
The evening continues at 22:00 with the romeros’ dance, played by the parrandas El Campillo and Pal Porrón, followed by fireworks by Piromar at 00:00. The romería leaves Corral Blanco on Monday 12 October 2026 at 18:00.
