Romería of Nuestra Señora del Pino from Puerto del Rosario to the Puerto Lajas hermitageverified
The romería pilgrimage of the Fiestas in honour of Nuestra Señora del Pino sets off from Puerto del Rosario (Fuerteventura) for the Puerto Lajas hermitage along the old coastal path. On Monday 12 October 2026 participants gather at 10:00 in the Plaza de la Iglesia of Puerto del Rosario, in traditional Canarian dress, and leave at 11:00. At the hermitage follow the mass (13:00) and the land and sea procession (13:30).
The last day of the Fiestas in honour of Nuestra Señora del Pino in Puerto Lajas (Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura), held from 6 to 12 October, begins with the romería, a festive pilgrimage. Everyone who wishes to take part gathers in the Plaza de la Iglesia of Puerto del Rosario, dressed in traditional Canarian clothing, and from there the romería heads to the Ermita (hermitage) of Puerto Lajas along the old coastal path. Animal traction is not permitted.
Participants gather on Monday 12 October 2026 at 10:00 and set off at 11:00; at the hermitage, the solemn mass is at 13:00 and the land and sea procession at 13:30. It is organised by the Comisión de Fiestas de Puerto Lajas 2026, which reserves the right to change any time or act.
