Bell ringing, rockets and pasacalle of the Batucada Tamatimba in Tamaimoverified
The Fiestas de San Joaquín y la Virgen de la Paz 2026 in Tamaimo open on Thursday 24 September at 07:00 with the ringing of the bells and the launching of rockets. At the same hour the Batucada Tamatimba sets off on its pasacalle, the street parade along the customary route. At 10:00 the sound and lighting team of Radio Curbelo arrives to provide the music for the four days of celebrations.
The first act of the Fiestas de San Joaquín y la Virgen de la Paz 2026 takes place in Tamaimo, in the municipality of Santiago del Teide, in the south west of Tenerife. The celebrations run from 24 to 27 September and are organised by the Comisión de Fiestas San Joaquín y la Virgen de la Paz 2026 together with the town council of Santiago del Teide.
On Thursday 24 at 07:00 the bells ring out and rockets are launched, and the Batucada Tamatimba crosses the village in a pasacalle along the customary route. At 10:00 the sound and lighting team of Radio Curbelo arrives to provide the music for the fiestas. The committee reserves the right to alter, cancel or modify any item of the programme.
