This multidisciplinary show recalls the life and work of the folklorist Antonio Corujo and revisits his most significant stages with his family line taking part, among them his children, grandchildren, brother, nephews and friends. Leading members of the Corujo family appear on stage, including Ciro, Cirito, Pancho, Toñín, Domi, Vicente, Néstor Castro and Domingo Corujo Tejera, alongside well known guest figures of Canarian popular music such as Dionisio Rodríguez, Fabiola Socas and Domingo «El Colorao».
The project rests on a documented script, a careful musical selection and a compilation of previously unseen images and historical television footage. Through singing, the playing of the timple and the lapas, the piece underlines what the artist meant to Lanzarote and its traditions, and takes in themes such as family, travel, schools and Venezuela. The performance runs for 90 minutes, is suitable for all audiences and takes place at the Teatro Víctor Fernández Gopar «El Salinero» in Arrecife on Thursday 1 October 2026 at 20:00, with tickets at 10 €.
