Ray Loriga opens the fourth Festival de Literatura de Lanzarote at the CIC El Almacén with a conversation about emotional fragility, contemporary disenchantment and the words that stay suspended between silences, bonds and cities that never quite come to a halt. The writer Carlos Battaglini, director of the Festival, moderates and guides the author through his career and his creative process. Admission is free but prior registration is required.

Ray Loriga opens the fourth edition of the Festival de Literatura de Lanzarote with a conversation about emotional fragility, contemporary disenchantment and the words that stay suspended between silences, bonds and cities that never quite come to a halt. It is a chance to enter the world of one of the most influential authors in contemporary Spanish literature and to discover the keys of a body of writing that has left its mark on several generations. The writer Carlos Battaglini, director of the Festival, moderates and accompanies the author through his career, his creative process and the concerns that run through his work.

Ray Loriga (Madrid, 1967) is a novelist and screenwriter, author of titles such as Lo peor de todo, Héroes, Tokio ya no nos quiere and Rendición, which won the Premio Alfaguara de Novela in 2017. His writing is marked by a lucid gaze on identity, solitude and the contradictions of the contemporary world, and it has been translated into numerous languages. The opening takes place on Thursday 8 October 2026 at 19:30 at the CIC El Almacén in Arrecife; admission is free with prior registration and the event is organised by the Asociación Cultural Picón Narrativas.
