Quema del Haragán en El Calvarioverified
Festivals & Pilgrimages
The burning of the Haragán marks the symbolic end of the San Luis festivities, right before the Baile del Remango.
The Haragán is the figure burned at the end of the festivities. The name says it all: a haragán is an idler, and burning him means saying goodbye to festival time and going back to work.
He burns at 22:15 on Sunday, after the procession and the fireworks, and fifteen minutes before the Gran Baile del Remango begins.
