Octava procession and fireworks at La Puntilla, closing the Fiestas de La Navalverified
On Sunday 18 October 2026, the Octava of La Naval, the church of Nuestra Señora de La Luz in La Isleta holds a solemn Eucharist at 18:00, followed by the procession of the image of Nuestra Señora de la Luz with civil and military authorities. After the procession come fireworks in the plaza de La Puntilla and the final traca of the fiestas around the church, the Castillo de La Luz and the plaza de La Luz.
The Octava closes the Antiguas y Tradicionales Fiestas de La Naval with a solemn Eucharist and the procession of the image of Nuestra Señora de la Luz, Patrona General del Puerto and Alcaldesa Mayor of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, accompanied by the leading civil and military authorities. The route runs along Pérez Muñoz, Juan Rejón, Albareda, Gran Canaria, Sagasta, Gomera, avenida de Las Canteras and La Naval before returning along Pérez Muñoz to the church. The music is provided by Grupo Ibaradem.
The Eucharist begins on Sunday 18 October 2026 at 18:00 in the church of Nuestra Señora de La Luz on calle Pérez Muñoz, La Isleta, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and the procession follows. Afterwards come the fireworks in the plaza de La Puntilla and the final traca around the church, the Castillo de La Luz and the plaza de La Luz.
