Book launch: Maricón de pueblo by Asunción Marrero Rodríguezverified

The Biblioteca Municipal Benito Pérez Galdós in Valsequillo de Gran Canaria hosts the launch of Maricón de pueblo by Asunción Marrero Rodríguez on Monday 14 September at 19:00. The municipal programme describes it as a fictionalised account that recovers and gives voice to a silenced story, and invites readers to come and hear a voice that stayed quiet for too long.

The author is joined by the writer and poet Coca de Armas Fariña and by Esteban Rodríguez, who chairs the event, in a conversation about the book and the story it tells. It is the first cultural event of the second week of the Fiestas y Feria de San Miguel Arcángel 2026 and takes place indoors, limited by the capacity of the library. The municipal programme publishes no admission price.
