On Friday 16 October at 18:00, the Municipal Theatre of Icod de los Vinos hosts the launch of the book «Hecho aquí. Oficios que mantienen viva la memoria de Icod» (Made here: crafts that keep Icod's memory alive). It is an initiative of the town council's Department of Culture and Commerce, led by councillor Verónica González García.
The book sets out to recognise and give visibility to the town's artisans, people who keep crafts handed down from generation to generation alive in their workshops and with their own hands. The council describes these crafts as history, tradition, knowledge and memory of Icod's identity. The announcement does not mention an admission charge.
