At 20:00 the opening speech of the fiestas is given by the elders of the town's senior centre, in Plaza de Nuestra Señora del Rosario. Afterwards, a musical assault with Gente Nueva. This is the act that officially opens the fiestas in honour of Nuestra Señora del Rosario, which run from 24 September to 7 October.
On Friday 25 September at 20:00, Plaza de Nuestra Señora del Rosario hosts the opening speech of the patron saint fiestas, given by the town's elders. Afterwards comes the musical assault with Gente Nueva.
That the pregón is given by the elders is not a small detail: this year the town wanted to give them that place, and the act opens a two-week programme that ends on 7 October, the patron saint's day.
