Offering to San Miguel Arcángel with the municipal band and a tasting of local produceverified

The ofrenda is the act in which the municipalities of La Palma bring their offerings to San Miguel Arcángel, patron saint of the island, whose image is venerated in the parish church of Tazacorte. It begins with the 7 p.m. mass and continues with the walk from the town hall to the church.

The procession is accompanied by the Tazacorte municipal band and closes with the singing of the Himno Ofrenda a San Miguel. A tasting of local produce and a performance by the group Cumbre Nueva follow. It is one of the most striking acts on the programme, because it combines the religious part with a display of traditional dress, ox carts and produce from each municipality. The route is short, some four hundred metres through the old town. 7 p.m. mass at San Miguel Arcángel and offering by each of the island's municipalities. 7:30 p.m. procession from the town hall to the parish church of San Miguel, accompanied by the Tazacorte municipal band; the Himno Ofrenda a San Miguel is sung, followed by a tasting of local produce and a performance by Cumbre Nueva.
