Seabird and cetacean watching from the Faro de Buenavista, Buenavista del Norteverified
A meet-up to watch seabirds and cetaceans from the Observatorio de las Migraciones at the Faro de Buenavista, on the north-western tip of Tenerife, on Saturday 10 October at 16:30, as part of the Observatorio's II Jornadas divulgativas. According to the Buenavista del Norte town council, tens of thousands of seabirds pass this point every autumn. Free and open admission, no registration.
On Saturday afternoon the Observatorio de las Migraciones del Faro de Buenavista's II Jornadas divulgativas move to the coast, after the morning talks at the Casa La Viuda, which start at 9:30. The programme offers a meet-up to watch seabirds and cetaceans from the Observatorio itself. The Buenavista del Norte town council, which also calls this lighthouse the Faro del Casco, places it on the north-western tip of Tenerife and notes that tens of thousands of seabirds pass it every autumn.
The meeting point is the Faro de Buenavista, on Camino de Las Ánimas in Buenavista del Norte, on Saturday 10 October 2026 at 16:30. Admission is free and open, with no registration required.
