Libros cruzados, by Canarian author Antonio Tabares, is a Delirium Teatro production. One book keeps changing hands: Anna Karenina. Three women rethink their lives after reading it. Mariana, a museum attendant, recognises herself living a dull, meaningless reality; Patricia, a novelist, finds her craft as a writer and the honesty of her relationship called into question; Cris finds comfort in Tolstoy’s words to face her grief.
In the author’s own words, the play grows out of a love of books and the question of how far they can shape our lives. Its engine is bookcrossing: leaving a book in a public place for someone else to find, read and leave behind again, forming a chain. The performance is on Friday 23 October 2026 from 20:30 to 22:00 at Auditorio Capitol in Tacoronte.
