MAR, o de cómo sobrevivir a un tsunamiverified

Culture · 9 €

MAR, o de cómo sobrevivir a un tsunami (Sea, or how to survive a tsunami) is an almost-tragic almost-comedy: a journey between absurd humour and drama, an act of rebellion against the taboo of talking about death, of resilience and of homage. Physical theatre, circus, music and visual stagecraft merge into a ritual that is almost humorous, almost poetic, almost flamenco. Ages 12 and up.

MAR, o de cómo sobrevivir a un tsunami (Sea, or how to survive a tsunami) is an almost-tragic almost-comedy. It is a journey between absurd humour and drama, an act of rebellion against the taboo of talking about death, an act of resilience and a tribute. The piece dissolves the boundaries between physical theatre, circus, music and visual stagecraft in a ritual that is almost humorous, almost poetic, almost flamenco and almost dramatic.

Stage direction and dramaturgy are by Ana Donoso Mora; the performers are Rebeca Pérez Jiménez, who also created the circus work, and Javier Prieto, who composed the music and sound design. It is produced by Rebe al Rebes, Javier Prieto and Ana Donoso Mora, in co-production with Circada. Recommended from age 12; running time 55 minutes. Tickets from €9. The performance takes place at Teatro El Sauzal on Friday 16 October 2026, at 20:00.
