Opening address of the Montserrat festivalverified

The opening address, given by researcher Isidro Abreu Sánchez, formally starts the festival.
On Wednesday 26 August at 20:30 the festival's opening address is read at Parque Antonio Herrera. It is given by Isidro Abreu Sánchez, doctor in Biology and Food Science and researcher at the Spanish National Research Council, the University of Oxford and the University of León.
The musical part is in the hands of Bruno Hernández Hernández, accompanied by Sergio Vargas.
The patron saint festival in honour of Nuestra Señora de Montserrat runs from 26 August to 15 September 2026 in San Andrés y Sauces.
