On Saturday 17 October, at 21:00, the square in front of the church of Nuestra Señora del Rosario in Valle de Guerra (San Cristóbal de La Laguna) hosts the religious play La Librea 2026. It is the central event of the patron saint festivities in honour of the Virgen del Rosario, held from 1 to 17 October.

Since the 17th century La Librea has commemorated the Christian victory over the Turks at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571, credited to the intercession of the Virgen del Rosario, patron saint of Valle de Guerra. The performance lasts about 80 minutes, combines historical and religious events and involves some 250 local people, organised by the Asociación Cultural Amigos de La Librea. It was declared a Bien de Interés Cultural in 2007 and a Festival of Tourist Interest of the Canary Islands in 2026.
