Julieta&Julieta - Clownbaret (FIC 2026)verified
Julieta&Julieta by the company Clownbaret has its preview in Plaza del Príncipe, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as part of the Festival Internacional Clownbaret (FIC) 2026. The clowns Yiyo and Woody set out to perform Shakespeare so that people will finally take them seriously, and it does not go as planned. For all ages, 50 minutes, on Sunday 11 October 2026 at 12:00.
Clownbaret is a company specialised in classic clowning that brings back the essence of the traditional clown: clear-cut characters, comic situations and a simple, visual, universal stage language. It works with body expression, gesture, clumsiness, surprise and play, and audience participation is a core part of its shows.
In Julieta&Julieta, Yiyo and Woody begin their show amid laughter and mishaps, but Yiyo is unhappy: tired of people laughing at clowns, he wants to be seen as a serious actor, and what better way than a play by Shakespeare. Woody accepts the challenge. It is a 50-minute preview for all ages, in Plaza del Príncipe, on Sunday 11 October 2026 at 12:00.
