In Juan Gómez Bárcena's work, history and fiction meet to question the way we build the past. In this conversation, moderated by writer Carlos Battaglini, director of the Festival de literatura de Lanzarote, the author will talk about his career, his research and writing processes, and how literature can reinterpret the past to offer new readings of the present. Born in Santander in 1984, he is the author of novels including «Kanada», «Los que duermen», «Ni siquiera los muertos» and «Lo demás es aire», has received awards such as the Ojo Crítico de Narrativa and the Premio Ciudad de Torrevieja, and his books have been translated into several languages.

The conversation takes place at the Centro Cívico El Fondeadero, Calle Lanzarote 1, in Puerto del Carmen (Tías). It is organised by the Asociación Cultural Picón Narrativas. Admission is free with prior registration at www.fdll.es. The talk is on Tuesday 27 October 2026 at 19:30.
