IV Tertulia «San Telmo, patrón del mar»: the fiestas fifty years agoverified
The IV Tertulia «San Telmo, patrón del mar» takes place on Thursday 24 September at 20:00 at the ermita de San Telmo, within the fiestas in honour of San Pedro González Telmo and Nuestra Señora del Carmen. The theme of this fourth edition is the Fiestas de San Telmo fifty years ago. It is organised by the humanities and social sciences forum «Celso Martín de Guzmán» of the Escuela Roberto Moreno Díaz at the ULPGC.
The fiestas in honour of San Pedro González Telmo and Nuestra Señora del Carmen fill the calendar of Sardina del Norte, in Gáldar, from 1 September to 3 October, and are organised by the Asociación de Vecinos San Pedro González Telmo and the Comisión de Fiestas with the Ayuntamiento de Gáldar. On Thursday 24 September the ermita de San Telmo hosts the fourth tertulia «San Telmo, patrón del mar», the local history session of the programme.
The talk and discussion begins at 20:00 and turns on how the Fiestas de San Telmo looked fifty years ago. It is run by the humanities and social sciences forum «Celso Martín de Guzmán», linked to the Escuela Roberto Moreno Díaz at the ULPGC, and reaches its fourth edition within the festive programme. The official programme publishes neither the speakers nor the expected length of the session.
