Isla Baja Salsa Fest 2026: the main dayverified

This page covers the main day only, the Saturday evening session. The Isla Baja Salsa Fest actually runs across the whole weekend of 29 and 30 August, and it moves between venues: on Saturday morning there is a daytime session on and around the Plaza de la Luz, and on Sunday the party returns to the square with the Domingo Salsero. Each of those two days has its own page in the agenda, with its own time and location.

The Isla Baja Salsa Fest returns to Los Silos for its second edition, after a first run that was well received in the north of Tenerife. The organisers describe it as more than a concert: a meeting point for people who enjoy salsa, live music and the atmosphere of the northern part of the island. The venue is the open area behind the Antiguo Convento de San Sebastián, in the historic centre of the town, and the festival sets out to keep the Canarian salsa tradition alive. The festival takes place on Saturday 29 August 2026, with doors opening at 17:00. The address is the rear of the Antiguo Convento de San Sebastián, Plaza de la Luz, 38470 Los Silos, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Tickets are sold through Tickety.es, which also carries the updated event information. Los Silos belongs to the Isla Baja district in the north-west of Tenerife, a little over an hour by car from Santa Cruz.

Three practical things worth checking before you go. There is a shuttle bus from Santa Cruz (15:00, Palmetum car park), La Laguna (15:20, Leocadio Machado stop) and La Orotava (15:45, El Trompo stop), arriving at 16:40 and returning once the programme ends, at around two in the morning; it costs 20 € per person, you must book and state your stop, and it does not include festival entry. There is a camper zone next to the site from 28 to 30 August, at 20 € per vehicle, also by prior booking and with limited spaces. And there is the Pasaporte Salsero, a free booklet picked up at the participating businesses and stamped at seven venues in the old town of Los Silos: stamp at least four and you enter a prize draw. Shuttle and camper places do sell out, so check availability on the festival's own site.
