Opening of the El Socorro Fiestas with the pregón and the raising of the flagverified
The El Socorro fiestas are formally opened on Thursday 24 September 2026 at 19:30 with the reading of the pregón by the Asociación Cultural Reyes de El Socorro and the raising of the flag. Pianist Ingrid Ferrera and soloist Irene Rosa perform, with Rommel Hernández presenting. The crosses of the district and the square are lit immediately afterwards.
On Thursday 24 September 2026 at 19:30 the fiestas in honour of Nuestra Señora del Socorro are formally opened. The pregón is delivered by the Asociación Cultural Reyes de El Socorro and is accompanied by the raising of the flag, with music from pianist Ingrid Ferrera and soloist Irene Rosa. Rommel Hernández presents. The published programme places this act both in the Plaza del Socorro and in the Parroquia de Nuestra Señora del Socorro, with the same time and the same title on both pages, so it is worth allowing for both points.
Immediately afterwards, in the Plaza del Socorro, the crosses of the district and of the square are lit, with a floral offering made by the three crosses. Once that act ends, the ventorrillo and the kiosks on the square are opened; they stay in service for the whole festive calendar. The programme sets no time for these last two acts: they follow on directly, so the pregón time is the reference.
