Baruti Teatro, founded in 1987 by Francisco Brito, has taken part in many international puppet festivals and aims to bring theatre close to audiences with simple, warm shows that combine humour, music and fantasy. At Harionetas, the Haría Puppet Theatre Festival, it presents «Misterio de Oriente»: Turlum Suklum dreams of becoming a magician like his grandfather, the wise Kandar, but his mischief keeps him from concentrating. On his journey through the desert, with «El libro mágico» as his only companion, a strong wind carries him into the arms of Amo Ta, an old, wise and thirsty tree. The piece is rich in images and special effects, with a playful text that invites reflection and encourages following one's dreams.
Performed by Francisco Brito, Filio Agrimanaki and Victor Devora, the show is recommended for ages 7 and up. It takes place at the Sociedad de Máguez on Calle Santa Bárbara in Máguez (Haría), and tickets, priced at 0 €, are issued through Ecoentradas. Thursday 15 October 2026 at 18:00.
