Big popular paella and Tacones Rojos concert on Pilar Dayverified
On Monday 12 October, Pilar Day, the Plaza del Pilar in Guanarteme hosts the Gran Paella Popular, a big popular paella, and a concert by the all-female group Tacones Rojos, both at 13:30. It comes after the procession of the Virgin and before the King África concert at 16:00. It belongs to the last day of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria neighbourhood festival, which runs from 30 September to 12 October.
The Gran Paella Popular and the concert by the all-female group Tacones Rojos both start on Monday 12 October at 13:30 in the Plaza del Pilar, in Guanarteme, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It is the feast day of Nuestra Señora del Pilar and the last day of the Fiestas de la Virgen del Pilar 2026, which began on 30 September.
According to the programme, the paella and the concert follow the procession of the Virgin, announced for 13:00, and come before King África's grand end-of-festival concert at 16:00 in the same square, listed as a separate event in the agenda. The programme gives no price for the paella.
