Gran Noche de Finaos in the Parque Municipal of Santa Brígida
Santa Brígida’s Finaos 2026 closes on Saturday 31 October from 19:00 with the Noche de Finaos in the Parque Municipal. A.F. Satautey, Los Medianeros de Gran Canaria and the Parranda El Pajullo perform, alongside roasted pine cones and chestnuts, other nuts and wine. The historic exchange of farm produce with the neighbouring municipality of Vega de San Mateo also lives on.
The Noche de Finaos is a popular celebration on the eve of All Saints’ Day, with roots in the times when daily life was tied to the land and to herding and families shared stories of loved ones who had passed away. In Santa Brígida it is the grand finale of Finaos 2026, organised by the town council together with the municipality’s neighbourhood associations and groups.
The evening takes place on Saturday 31 October 2026 from 19:00 in the Parque Municipal of Santa Brígida. It brings together three leading groups of the island’s folklore, A.F. Satautey, Los Medianeros de Gran Canaria and the Parranda El Pajullo, along with roasted pine cones and chestnuts, other nuts and wine. The historic exchange of farm and local produce with the neighbouring municipality of Vega de San Mateo is also kept alive.
