Yo Canto is a music project launched by Radio Planeta Gran Canaria (96.8 and 90.1 FM) to give promotion, visibility and opportunities to young musical talent from the Canary Islands. More than a contest, it is an initiative that discovers new voices, encourages live music, brings radio closer to the community and gives emerging artists a stage on which to show their talent. The station has released five records of its own featuring Canarian talent and is preparing a sixth.
The Grand Final is organised by Radio Planeta Gran Canaria with the support of the Ingenio town council, at the Centro Cultural Federico García Lorca. Admission is free, with a numbered seat in the stalls or on the balcony booked through tureservaonline; the doors close once the event has begun. The final is on Saturday 24 October 2026 at 20:30.
