On Wednesday 7 October at 18:00, the Casa África Film Showcase continues at the Museo Elder with the short God Sleeps on Sunday, about a pastor arriving in a rural community, and La vie après Siham, winner of the Casa África award for best director at the African Film Festival of Tarifa and Tangier, a family story between Egypt and France. On Wednesday 7 October at 18:00, the programme shows God Sleeps on Sunday (17 minutes, in Shona), about James, a disgraced pastor sent to build a church in a rural community where a respected traditional healer occupies the land, and La vie après Siham (76 minutes, in French and Arabic), in which Namir traces his family's history between Egypt and France after losing his mother. Both with Spanish subtitles.
The 12th Casa África Film Showcase runs from 6 to 8 October 2026 at the Museo Elder de la Ciencia y la Tecnología in Parque de Santa Catalina, with one screening a day at 18:00. It brings together documentary, fiction and drama by filmmakers from Africa and its diaspora, in collaboration with the Cinenómada programme of the African Film Festival of Tarifa and Tangier (FCAT). Admission is free, with limited seating.
