Solemn Function to the Santísima Imagen of Nuestra Señora del Socorroverified
The solemn function to the Santísima Imagen takes place on Sunday 27 September 2026 at 18:00 in the parish of Nuestra Señora del Socorro, presided over by Bishop Eloy Alberto Santiago Santiago. The procession then follows the customary route, and in the square the children born in the past year are blessed.
On Sunday 27 September 2026 at 18:00 the parish of Nuestra Señora del Socorro celebrates the solemn function to the Santísima Imagen. Bishop Eloy Alberto Santiago Santiago presides, accompanied by the Ministerio de Música de la Renovación Carismática en Canarias. It is the central act of the main day of the fiestas.
The procession then follows the customary route, together with the Venerable Hermandad de Nuestra Señora del Socorro, the Agrupación Musical San Marcos Evangelista and the Barco de la Virgen. In the Plaza del Socorro the children born in the past year are blessed and food is offered to the Virgin. The programme sets no time for those acts: they follow on directly from the function.
