Fuegos del Risco, the great firework display of the Día del Cristoverified
The Risco fireworks close the main day at eleven at night. They are the principal display of the fiestas and have been for decades the moment that people in La Laguna associate with the Día del Cristo. They can be seen from much of the old town, so there is no need to fight for one particular spot.
On Monday 14 September 2026 at 23:00 the Risco fireworks are launched, the display that closes the Día del Cristo, the main day of the Fiestas del Santísimo Cristo de La Laguna.
It is the second launch of the programme, after the midnight eve fireworks, and the most important of the three, because it closes the big day. The municipal programme does not state the exact launch point, though the name points to the Risco. In practice they can be seen from much of the historic centre. The last display of the fiestas is that of the Octava, on 21 September, also at 23:00.
