Fireworks in honour of the Virgen del Pilar on Las Canteras beachverified
The fireworks in honour of Nuestra Señora del Pilar go off on the night of Sunday 11 to Monday 12 October, at 00:00, on Las Canteras beach, by the Alfredo Kraus sculpture. They open Pilar Day itself, the main day of the Guanarteme neighbourhood festival in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, which runs from 30 September to 12 October. The programme lists the fireworks at the end of Sunday.
The fireworks display in honour of Nuestra Señora del Pilar is on the night of Sunday 11 to Monday 12 October, at 00:00, on Las Canteras beach, by the Alfredo Kraus sculpture next to the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The programme lists it at the end of Sunday, the eve of the feast, although by the calendar it is already Monday 12 October. It is part of the Fiestas de la Virgen del Pilar 2026 in the Guanarteme neighbourhood, from 30 September to 12 October.
After the fireworks, at 00:30, the party continues in the Plaza del Pilar with a verbena, an open-air dance, with the Orquesta Armonía Show. Earlier that Sunday night, the square has the verbena with the group Una Más at 22:00 and the night parade of the papagüevos at 23:30, both listed as separate events in the agenda.
