Franca is born of a discomfort, of the lingering unease that runs through women when they feel something does not fit, something shaped like inequality, like silence imposed and disguised as freedom, like inherited guilt, repeated patterns and stories made invisible. The piece approaches the texts of Franca Rame “like someone opening an old diary” and finds that the words, though dusty, still burn.
The play asks how much we have really changed and why the stories that shape us are still loaded with violence and submission. Tickets cost €10. The Espacio Cultural Jesús Arencibia pays tribute to the Gran Canaria painter who is a reference figure for Tamaraceite.
