Main feast day in La Guancha, two days after the Bajada de las Hayas.
La Guancha holds its patron-saint day on 17 August, within a month of celebrations that also includes the Bajada de las Hayas on the 15th and the baile de magos on the 22nd.
The municipality sits on the northern slope between pine forest and coast, and its fiestas keep the farming character of the area.
