Fiestas del Socorro 2026 (Breña Baja): pregón y pasacalles de los cabezudosverified
Opening day: traditional games, a big-heads parade and the opening speech with the municipal band.
El Socorro is a coastal neighbourhood of Breña Baja, in the east of La Palma. Its fiestas run from 27 to 31 August, with the novena days continuing until 6 September. The best known act is the Romería de El Socorro, which comes down from the old quarter of San Antonio.
The big-heads parade goes through the neighbourhood with the Breña Baja municipal band. The opening speech is given by D. José Fernández Arozena, a local resident and secondary school and UNED teacher, again with the band.
