Fiestas del Carmen de La Bajita 2026: comienzo de los campeonatosverified
The envite, rey mala and parcheesi championships begin, three nights in a row.
La Bajita is a neighbourhood of Villa de Mazo, in the east of La Palma, and its fiestas in honour of the Virgen del Carmen run from 31 August to 6 September. They are organised by the AA.VV. Ntra. Señora del Carmen La Bajita, with Villa de Mazo town hall and the Cabildo of La Palma. The feel is a seafaring one, as befits the patron saint.
The programme includes the 40th Envite Championship (over 18s), the 38th Rey Mala Championship (over 16s), the 15th Children's Parcheesi Championship (ages 5 to 12) and the 15th Adult Parcheesi Championship (over 13s).
The championships take three nights: 31 August and 1 and 2 September, always at the same hour.
