Fiestas del Carmen (Corralejo)
Corralejo (La Oliva) Carmen festival, with a maritime procession on the 16th and a nighttime torch procession with fireworks over the sea on the 18th.
Corralejo, in the municipality of La Oliva in northern Fuerteventura, celebrates the Fiestas del Carmen from 16 to 18 July 2026 in honour of the sailors' patron saint. On 16 July the maritime procession takes place, with the image travelling along the coast accompanied by the fleet. The programme includes solemn mass, parrandas and folklore, traditional games and the usual fresh fish fair at the dock, with fish stews and tastings from the local fleet. On 18 July comes the most singular moment: a nighttime torch procession to the Muelle Chico, lit by hundreds of torches through the town's streets, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display over the sea.
